For this assignment, I listened to a video broadcast of a Japanese baseball game. The clip I watched showed Hiroshi Suzuki pitching during the 9th inning of a game to get a "save" because he didn't give up any runs. The title of this video on Youtube was "Japanese Kimbrel NBP Regular Season - Hiroshi Suzuki." The phrase "Japanese Kimbrel" means that the video's uploader thinks that Suzuki is as good as a famous American pitcher named Craig Kimbrel. The video was 6 minutes long, which happened to be the length of the half inning of baseball. In this video, Suzuki pitches very well in the 9th inning for his team, the Dragons, in professional Japanese baseball. He gives up zero runs and therefore helps his team to win. The commentator has a very engaged tone and the fans seem to love him. There is a good mix of polite speech forms of grammar and casual exclamations. I liked this activity since the piece I chose interested me because I love basebal
